Ronald Hoek takes next step in his career; co-founders continue Blue Radix strategy

Ronald Hoek, CEO and co-founder of Blue Radix, is leaving the company and will start as Director at consultancy and engineering firm AAB in Maasdijk, the Netherlands on November 1. Co-founders Laurens van der Spek and Rudolf de Vetten will jointly form the management team and continue shaping Blue Radix’s strategy. That strategy remains fully focused on the global rollout of autonomous growing in greenhouse horticulture.

Ronald has been working on the application of algorithms and AI in greenhouse horticulture since 2014, first at AgroEnergy and from 2020 onward as co-founder of Blue Radix. Over the past six years, Blue Radix has grown from an idea into a fully-fledged organization and a leading player in the field of autonomous growing, serving customers all over the world.

With a growing international customer base, the recent investment from shareholders, and a strong team led by Laurens and Rudolf, I am fully confident that Blue Radix is ready for its next growth phase. That is why this feels like the right moment for me to take the next step in my career.”

Strong foundation for further growth of the rollout of autonomous growing
